Hot Yin Yoga

 

Hot yin yoga is a class that we offer here at BYLB to complement your Bikram practice of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. Yin yoga is practiced completely on the floor. It consists of long stretching postures that are held for minutes at a time. We practice it in the same heat that we practice Bikram yoga (105°F), and our yin instructors are experienced Bikram teachers and practitioners. Hot yin here at BYLB is like a warm, juicy, hour-long hug. We light the room with lanterns, we provide props, and we give directions in a calming atmosphere. Often we use essential oils, too! There is absolutely no pressure to execute postures in hot yin class, and we give modifications for whatever your body can do. Our instructors give gentle hands-on corrections (with your individual permission, of course), and they also demonstrate the postures on the floor with you.

We are so proud to be able to offer hot yin here at BYLB, and we are excited that it has become so popular. Many people take the Bikram class beforehand and then stay for yin for the ultimate blissed-out experience. It’s like a mini yoga retreat! We offer it every day: it’s the last class of the day on weeknights, and it’s at noon on weekends. All class packages can be used for it, so give it a try and let us know what you think!
